Sakina Ansari is an entrepreneur, self-taught designer, handloom enthusiast and a humanitarian. She started her entrepreneurial journey with kids clothing in 1995 and then moved on to designing pret and couture fashion for friends and family.
Her passion for art, creativity, fashion, accessories and lifestyle products propelled her to open a concept store called MAALGAADi in 2013. MAALGAADi was ranked as the top 10 concept stores in India and now during the pandemic, the store has moved online and operates through its own website.

Sakina is the Co-founder/ Partner of the Handloom Label – ‘Kankali’, a home-grown label, which aims to promote the Evergreen Crafts & Skills of our Country.
She has also been a part of ALL Ladies League since 2017 which helped her to lead, join hands, connect beyond borders and grow together in the spirit of sisterhood.

She is also, the National President of WICCI Handloom Council, an organization that believes in the growth and upliftment of women, with an overall aim to help the society at large.

She has been awarded as ‘Women of Excellence’ at WEF Delhi in the year 2018.
